# How does the demo work?

**Can I look at Metrunio without creating an account?**

Without an account and without a form: “Open the demo” on the website or below the sign-in opens read-only access to a fictional example shop. The session ends after 30 minutes without activity and opens again with one click.

## What you see in the demo

- The data of a fictional flour mill: generated visits, touchpoints and orders with multi-step journeys, no real customer’s data.
- At the top of the overview, three questions as a way in: trace an order, compare models, understand data gaps. Each leads to the view that answers it. Where one exists, the example order has a viewable impression, preferably one whose impression carries a share under the demo’s default model.
- Every report to read: customer journeys, channels & attribution, orders & goals, data status and the other analyses. The group “More analyses” with “Check budget”, “Platform reconciliation” and “Experiments” is open in the demo.
- Under “Ask your data”, three prepared example answers, marked “Sample answer from demo data: prepared, not from the language model”. What is prepared is the wording; the figures in it are calculated from the example data, with the period, the demo’s default model and the report that shows the same figures. The demo access does not ask the language model.
- In the banner at the top, the plan the demo shows and how many days of it an account of your own gets to start with.

## What is different about the example data

The data is generated retrospectively. Under “Data status” almost every event therefore counts as late, and the tile says so; with live measurement the number there is small. Regular customers and ad spend reach back long before the first contact. So for 30 days the overview shows no comparison with the previous period, for 7 days it does.

## What the demo cannot do

The access only reads. Actions that change something (saving, inviting, exporting, creating keys, importing costs, switching on the second factor) are visible but locked and say “Not available in the demo”. You see what exists without any button leading nowhere.

## How long the session lasts

The header shows how many minutes the session has left. Every click extends it; after 30 minutes without activity it ends. The portal then shows a page with “Open the demo again” instead of the sign-in. The same applies when you sign out.

## Continuing with your own data

In the demo header, “Start measuring your own site” leads to registration and “Pricing” to the plans; the same button sits below the example answers. An account of your own measures your website and answers questions about your own data.
