# What do I get for referring someone?

**Do I get anything for passing on a referral code?**

A credit on your next invoice. Once the company you referred has spent three consecutive months on a paid plan, Pro or above, we credit you one monthly rate of their plan, at most one of your own. The credit settles by itself; there is nothing to claim.

What counts is not the sign-up, and not the first event either. Both are an intention. What counts is that somebody pays for three months and is still there afterwards.

## The conditions in three sentences

- The referred company spends three consecutive months on a paid plan, Pro or above. The free trial does not count.
- If they cancel in between and come back later, the clock starts again.
- The credit is one monthly rate of the plan the referred company paid for during those three months, at most one monthly rate of your own plan.

An example: you pay for Scale and bring a company that books Pro. We credit you €79. If you pay for Pro and bring a company that books Scale, it is €79 as well. There is no cap on referrals: bring three companies that stay, and you get three credits.

> **Note:** The three months are deliberate: they reduce credits for accounts that are unwound again shortly afterwards. Crediting somebody who cancels the following month would be a loss on both sides, and we would have to claw it back. Statutory and contractual repayment claims are not affected.

If you are on the free “Start” plan yourself, there is nothing to credit: one month of zero is zero. The referral stays counted and is credited once you move to a paid plan.

If you pay through Shopify yourself, we credit nothing: Shopify bills your plan on your Shopify invoice, and there is no balance there we could book. The referral still counts. Whether the referred company pays through Shopify or in the portal makes no difference.
