# Does Metrunio measure Meta and Google ads?

**Can Metrunio measure my ads on Meta, Google and TikTok?**

The click yes, the viewable impression before it no. Inside the closed feeds of Meta, Google and TikTok no platform allows a third-party impression tag; there Metrunio measures the click and the conversion, and the viewable impression only exists as the platform’s own number. On display, programmatic and affiliate Metrunio measures delivery and viewability itself; for newsletters the open, which is not a viewable impression.

Metrunio measures with its own tags. Whether that is possible is decided by the platform serving your ad, not by Metrunio. That is why the answer differs by channel and by signal.

| Channel | Delivery and viewability | Click | Conversion |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Display and programmatic (DSP, ad server) | own tag | own tag | own tag |
| Newsletter | open as its own event, not a viewable impression, no post-view | own tag | own tag |
| Affiliate | own tag | own tag | own tag |
| Meta in-feed | platform data only | own tag | own tag |
| Google Ads search and in-feed | platform data only | own tag | own tag |
| TikTok in-feed | platform data only | own tag | own tag |
| CTV | not available | not available | via order data only |

## What that means for you

- If your budget runs mostly in-feed on Meta, Google or TikTok, Metrunio measures your clicks and conversions independently of the platform, but the viewable impression before the click is missing, and that is precisely our difference. The benefit is then smaller.
- If display, programmatic or affiliate are in your mix, Metrunio measures delivery and viewability there itself, independently of whatever the platform reports. Whether the viewable impression then reaches the purchase depends on the browser: Chrome and Edge allow it, Safari, Firefox and Brave do not. The share is shown as post-view coverage in the portal.
- For newsletters Metrunio measures the open as its own event. It never counts as a viewable impression (mail clients load images without a reader) and receives no post-view share. The click from the newsletter counts like any click.
- Post-view credits arise only from viewable impressions we measured ourselves. A platform’s number is never reinterpreted as one of our own touchpoints.

> **Note:** This table is the coverage, not the intent. It changes when a platform changes its rules. This page changes with it, and the date above says when it last did.
