# How does Metrunio relate to other tools?

**Do I need Metrunio in addition to my existing setup?**

Web analytics is included: visits, pages, sources and time on site, counted for visitors with consent. Metrunio does not replace a CMP or an ad server; it measures clicks and viewed impressions itself and attributes them by disclosed rules.

| Kind of tool | Answers | Metrunio adds |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Web analytics | behaviour on your own website | its own web analytics for visitors with consent, plus the advertising contacts before it, including viewability; without heatmaps, session recordings or funnels built from pages |
| Platform reports | performance from the platform’s point of view | a source not owned by the platform |
| Consent management | collecting and documenting consent | reads the state and follows it |
| Ad server | delivery and booking | independent measurement of the same delivery |
| Attribution tools (such as Triple Whale, Northbeam, Dreamdata) | assignment across channels | our own measurement of delivery and viewability; where no signal was measured, the conversion stays open rather than modelled |
| Business intelligence | joining many sources | supplies conversions and journeys by CSV export and, from the Growth plan, also through the read API |

## Where our statements about other vendors come from

About a vendor we name, we state only what that vendor’s own source states, not what a comparison site or a third-party post writes about them. Every statement carries the page it came from and the date we retrieved it. Once a retrieval is more than six months old, the statement counts as unsupported: it is not necessarily wrong, but we no longer know, so it is re-checked or removed.

- Triple Whale: triplewhale.com/pixel and triplewhale.com/pricing, retrieved 2 and 1 September 2026
- Northbeam: docs.northbeam.io/docs/clicks-deterministic-views and northbeam.io/pricing, retrieved 2 and 1 September 2026
- Dreamdata: dreamdata.io/tracking, retrieved 3 September 2026, and dreamdata.io/pricing, retrieved 1 September 2026

The comparison page carries the same thing cell by cell: below the table, the page at the vendor itself with the date of retrieval. A claim without a vendor source is struck.

> **Note:** If your only question is “which channel was the last click?”, your existing tools are often enough. The value appears where display, post-view and several platforms come together.
