What is “What these figures mean”?
Below the tiles on the overview there is a section called “What these figures mean”. It describes the same values in sentences: what occurred in the period, how much of it could be attributed, what the money says and what is missing. If a value is absent, the sentence is left out; nothing is guessed.
I do not understand the key figures on the overview. Where are they in plain words?
The tiles give you the number and the term. The section below gives you the connection, for example (the figures are made up): “12,400 signals occurred in this period … of them, 8 out of 10 conversions have a traceable history.” Every sentence links to the page where it can be checked.
Two rules the sentences follow
- No sentence without a value. If no ad spend is recorded, there is no sentence about costs, and no “€0” either.
- No judgement. Whether a 68 per cent attribution rate is good depends on the industry, the consent rate and the channel mix. The text explains how the figure comes about; it does not rate it.
The two words that matter
- Measured: received that way. A delivery, a click, a visit, a conversion.
- Attributed: distributed across touchpoints by the chosen attribution model. The same conversions, split differently.
Why “Events” and “Data status” show a different figure
The overview and all reports count by the time something happened and leave out rejected events. “Events” and the “Events received” tile in data status count by the time it reached us, rejected events included. If your shop sends last week’s orders today, they appear in the overview on their own day and under “Events” on today’s. For the same period the figures then differ, without anything missing.
Almost every figure on the overview is measured or attributed and can therefore be traced back to the raw data. Two come from you: ad spend from your ad account or import, and the acquisition value you set. That value is not revenue.
Note
Look up individual terms in the glossary. The section on the overview explains your case; the glossary explains the term.

- Which reports are available?
What can I analyse in the portal?
The reports are in the sidebar: Overview, Customer journeys, Channels & attribution with its breakdown and model comparison, Orders & goals, plus Check budget, Platform reconciliation, Data status and Events, among others. In the period row at the top you choose the period and the model and, once your account measures more than one website, the website.
- Which metrics exist and how are they calculated?
How are ROAS, CPA and conversion rate derived?
Metrics come from measured quantities and, where attribution is involved, from the chosen model. Cost-based metrics require ad spend to have been imported or synced.
- Glossary: the key terms
What do the terms Metrunio uses mean?
The terms are deliberately narrow: a touchpoint is a measured contact, a journey a chain of such contacts, a credit an attributed share. This list explains the terms used in the portal and in reports.
