How do ad blockers affect measurement?
Ad blockers and browser protections cost part of the browser signals, as with any client-side measurement. Metrunio does not circumvent these protections. Conversions can instead be reported server-side, where the browser plays no part.
Do I lose data to ad blockers and browser protections?
- Impressions and viewability measurement also run in the browser, inside the ad; a blocker can intercept them just the same.
- Short-lived storage shortens the lifetime of the pseudonymous first-party ID.
- Server-reported conversions are unaffected, but the linking then needs an identifier passed along.
Caution
We do not circumvent browser protections and use no fingerprinting. The gap is not filled by calculation. What the blocker intercepts never reaches Metrunio; the gap becomes visible where your shop reports orders from the server: an order without a measured touchpoint shows as “unattributed”.

How do I send events from my shop, CRM or backend?
Through POST /v1/server/events to the collector, with the server key in the authorization header. The portal shows the address and the ready-made call for your website under “Setup” on the “Server Events API” tab. The call is independent of the browser and therefore robust against ad blockers and short-lived cookies.

What are the limits of Metrunio’s measurement?
Post-view is only measurable where your own tags may be served and the browser returns the view identifier: not every served ad is viewable, and not every viewable one can be linked to the purchase. Without consent, gaps arise deliberately, and a gap stays a gap, not a zero. Attribution describes assignment, not causal advertising effect.
- Why do my numbers differ from Meta and Google?
Metrunio shows fewer conversions than the ad account. Why is that?
Deviations are normal and usually explainable: different attribution windows, different models, the same conversion claimed by several platforms, and missing signals where consent was not given. Metrunio counts each purchase once, even when browser and server report the same order, and distributes it by a rule you can inspect.
