What are the click window and view window?
The click window sets how long a click before the conversion still counts (30 days by default); the view window does the same for a viewable impression (one day by default). You set both under “Settings”, together with the default model.
How long does a touchpoint before the conversion count?
| Window | Applies to | Default | Configurable |
|---|---|---|---|
| Click window | clicks and website contacts | 30 days | 1 to 90 days |
| View window | viewable impressions (post-view) | 1 day | 1 to 30 days |
The view window is deliberately short by default. A viewable impression without a click is a weak signal; the longer the window, the more conversions receive a post-view share without the effect becoming any better evidenced.
The window is the only time limit there is. A quiet spell between two visits limits nothing: if a calm month sits between the click and the purchase, the click still counts as long as it falls inside the click window. The same goes for funnel steps: whether a click before “signed up” receives a share is decided by the click window, not by the gap between two steps.
Caution
Changing the windows retroactively changes which contacts count. Compare periods only with the same setting. Otherwise you are comparing two rules rather than two weeks.

- How do the attribution models calculate?
Which models exist and how do they distribute the share?
There are seven models: six distribute a conversion by a fixed, disclosed rule, and the seventh reads the rule from your own paths. If a model finds matching touchpoints, it distributes the conversion’s full value across them; if it finds none, the conversion stays “unattributed” and is shown separately. Attributed and unattributed together add up to all conversions it calculates.
- Why do my numbers differ from Meta and Google?
Metrunio shows fewer conversions than the ad account. Why is that?
Deviations are normal and usually explainable: different attribution windows, different models, the same conversion claimed by several platforms, and missing signals where consent was not given. Metrunio counts each purchase once, even when browser and server report the same order, and distributes it by a rule you can inspect.
- What is post-view and what does it tell me?
Why should I count viewable impressions without a click?
Post-view means: a viewable ad that was not followed by a click is linked to a later order or lead and taken into account by your model. That gives a number to contacts click measurement cannot see, display in particular; it only works where your own tag runs, both sides have consented and the browser returns the view identifier. Viewable impressions receive a share from the Pro plan, and how much they count is decided by model and view window.
- How do I read the funnel report?
What do “Reached”, “Transition” and “Skipped” mean in the funnel?
“Reached” is the measured number of customers who reached the step in the period, once per customer. “Transition” follows the cohort: of the customers who reached the previous step in the period, the share that reached this step by the end of the period (never above 100%). “Skipped” are customers who reached the step but never the one before it.
