What is Metrunio?
Metrunio shows you which measured ad contacts preceded your orders or leads, and distributes revenue by a rule you can see and change. It measures clicks, visits and conversions with its own signals and, wherever your own tag is served, the delivery and viewability of ads as well. It is built for shops, agencies and SaaS businesses that allocate ad budget and need a source that is not owned by the platform being advertised on.
What does Metrunio do, and who is it for?
The starting point
Every advertising platform reports on its own performance. Add the reports up and you often get more conversions than actually happened: the same order or lead is claimed by Meta, Google and the newsletter at once. Metrunio measures that event once, with its own signals, and attributes it by a disclosed rule.
What is included
- Click tracking through signed links with no open redirect.
- Impression tracking through your own 1×1 pixel.
- Viewability measurement through a separate tag.
- Website and conversion measurement via tag manager, snippet or server API.
- Web analytics on every plan: page views, visits, visitors, time on site and bounce rate, by channel, page and technology, counted for visitors with consent.
- Journeys linked exclusively through unambiguous identifiers.
- Seven attribution models, each with and without post-view: six disclosed rules and one data-driven. The Start plan calculates with one of them, without post-view; all seven side by side and post-view come with Pro.
- Data quality findings with cause, effect and the next step.
- CSV export of conversions, customer journeys and attribution by channel, every row with period, environment and time of the data.
Who it is for
| Role | Typical question |
|---|---|
| Marketing | Which channel took part in a conversion, and in what order? |
| Agency | Which display contacts preceded my client’s orders, and what share is attributed to them? |
| Engineering | How do I report shop conversions securely without a browser? |
| Privacy | What exactly is stored, and how is a deletion carried out? |
Note
Web analytics is included: page views, visits, time on site and bounce rate, counted for visitors with consent. Heatmaps and session recordings are not part of it, and Metrunio is not a consent management platform either.

- How does Metrunio differ from web analytics?
We already have Google Analytics. Why add Metrunio?
Metrunio has its own web analytics with page views, visits, time on site and bounce rate, counted for visitors with consent; it does not have funnels built from pages, search terms or modelled figures for visitors without consent, as GA4 offers them. Beyond that, Metrunio measures the delivery and viewability of creatives in supported environments itself and connects them traceably with the conversion. From the Pro plan it shows two models compared head to head and all seven in one table, along with the individual conversions and journeys behind them.
- Web analytics: page views, visits, time on site
What does web analytics in Metrunio show me?
Under “Web analytics” you see, on every plan, how many page views, visits and visitors your website has, how long visitors stay active and how many leave right away. You can view it per day or, for periods of up to 14 days, per hour, split by channel, page and technology. Only visitors who consented to analytics are counted; nothing is extrapolated.
- What does Metrunio deliberately not do?
Which features are missing, and why?
No fingerprinting, no marketing mix modelling, no ad server and no consent management of its own. The scope is deliberately narrow: measure, connect, attribute; whatever else you need is done by a tool built for it. There are no extrapolated figures, and every figure says where it comes from, such as measured or attributed.
- Setup: six phases, eleven steps
What do I have to do before the first data arrives?
The setup assistant takes you through six phases, from “Company & DPA” to “Check the first journey”; behind them are eleven steps, the same for every integration route. The second step is concluding the data processing agreement, without which nothing is measured. The assistant saves progress automatically and can be interrupted at any time; going live also needs access to the ad accounts, the connection to your consent tool and, depending on your company, internal approvals.
