Which emails does Metrunio send, and how do I stop them?

There are five kinds: operational messages (invitation, password, invoice, event allowance notices and the end of the trial), the weekly or monthly report, getting-started notes during the first few weeks, for agencies two emails about their clients (the weekly email about clients with open items and the monthly report as a PDF), and the newsletter. The first kind cannot be unsubscribed from, because without it access or billing does not work. You unsubscribe yourself from the report, the getting-started notes and the two client emails under “Settings → Notifications → Your emails”; with the Admin role you can also switch the report and the notes off for everyone there. You unsubscribe from the newsletter through the link in every issue.

I would like fewer emails. Which ones are there, and what can I unsubscribe from?

Operational

  • Email confirmation, invitation, password reset.
  • Invoices and payment notices.
  • The three messages about the end of the trial: a week before, the day before, and when it is over. They go to everyone with the Admin or Analysis role. Before the list of what changes, they show your own numbers from the trial, each labelled as measured or attributed: measured orders or leads, the share of advertising that was seen, campaigns with ad costs and your event usage. They also name the cheapest plan for that usage and the features you used, with its monthly net amount, and the plan you picked when you signed up. If a number is missing, so is the sentence; nothing is projected.
  • Event allowance notices: a note at 80, a warning at 95 and a message at 100 per cent. On the paid plans that message says overage applies from now on; on the free plan, that further events are rejected until the end of the month. At most one per threshold and month.
  • Security-relevant notices about the account.
  • The notice that your custom measurement domain is live, and the warning when its certificate is at risk.
  • Notices about expiring access to an ad platform: 14 days before and on the day it expires, to everyone with the Admin role, one per access and stage. Only if the platform names an expiry date. For an agency’s clients, the notice is in the agency’s weekly email instead.

These go to the person concerned or to the account’s admins. They cannot be unsubscribed from: an invoice nobody receives is not a relief.

Getting-started notes

During the first few weeks we send a small number of messages tied to where you actually stand: a reminder if no website has been added after one day, one if the website has not sent a signal after two days, a note on the first signal, one on the first attributed conversion and one after the first measured week. Each comes at most once. They hang on events in your data rather than on a calendar; anyone who moves through quickly gets no reminder.

The recipients are the people with the Admin or Analysis role. Each of them can unsubscribe from the notes for themselves under “Settings → Notifications → Your emails”. With the Admin role you can also switch them off for everyone there. Every one of these emails names the way there at the end. The milestones under “Data status” are unaffected: what you unsubscribe from is the messages, not the milestones.

Weekly or monthly report

The report exists once an admin has switched it on under “Settings → Notifications”: weekly on Mondays or monthly on the first. It goes to everyone with the Admin or Analysis role. You unsubscribe just yourself under “Your emails”; the others keep receiving it. This applies per company: if you are a member of several, you decide in each one separately. The report is off by default. The getting-started email after the first measured week offers it while it is off: its link opens the settings and switches the weekly report on after you sign in, if you have the Admin role. If a report is already running, the link changes nothing, not even from monthly to weekly.

The weekly report covers the seven full days up to yesterday, the monthly report the last complete calendar month, both in your account’s time zone. Conversions and ad spend cover the same days. If you choose the same days in the portal, you see the same figures. If a report arrives a day late because of the daily sending limit, the week is again the seven days up to yesterday; the monthly report stays with the past month.

Next to every measured and every attributed figure you see the value of the previous week or month and the change in per cent, followed by the channel whose attributed conversions moved most. If the previous period is not fully within the measured period, for example in the first weeks, the comparison is left out and the report says so. If a value is missing, such as ROAS without ad spend, its comparison is missing too.

Weekly email about your clients (agencies)

If your agency looks after client accounts, its admins get an email on Mondays listing all clients with something open: one line per client with the reason, such as a failed cost import or an ad account in test mode. If all clients are in order, none is sent. Measurement and ad accounts appear only for clients you are a member of. You unsubscribe yourself under “Your emails”; there is no switch for everyone. What the email sums up is explained under “How do I see all clients at a glance?”.

Monthly report about your clients (agencies)

If your agency looks after client accounts, its admins receive the monthly report as a PDF for each client on the 2nd of each month, but only for clients they are members of themselves. You unsubscribe yourself under “Your emails”; there is no switch for everyone. What the report contains is explained under “How do I give my client a monthly report as a PDF?”.

Newsletter

The newsletter is independent of an account and is only sent after explicit confirmation (double opt-in): after signing up, an email with a link goes out. The link opens a page, and only the click on “Yes, subscribe me” there confirms the subscription. Opening the link alone does not, because some mailboxes open links on their own. The page then says “Subscription confirmed”.

You can unsubscribe via the link in every issue. It leads to our unsubscribe page, in the language you signed up in; one click is enough, and you do not need an account. The unsubscription takes effect immediately, and the next issue no longer goes to you.

You can sign up on all four language versions of the website; the confirmation email and pages come in the language of the sign-up. The issues themselves appear in German and English. If you sign up in Spanish or French you get the English one, and the confirmation email says so.

Senders

  • no-reply@metrunio.com: operational messages, getting-started notes and the confirmation of your newsletter sign-up.
  • support@metrunio.com: replies to your support requests.
  • newsletter@news.metrunio.com: the newsletter issues. Replies go to support.

The newsletter deliberately comes from a domain of its own: if someone reports it as advertising, that does not affect the delivery of invoices and password emails. Since 12 October 2026 the sign-up confirmation email goes out through Google Workspace like our other messages, without a tracking pixel and without redirected links; the confirmation link leads straight to our website. If your company filters incoming mail, allow all three addresses. Otherwise the confirmation email ends up in spam and the subscription stays pending.

Legal note

The getting-started notes are meant to help you set up and use your account; we classify them as service information accompanying the contract. We keep necessary service information and advertising apart. We send advertising messages only where the requirements for doing so are met, and you can object to any use of your address for advertising at any time, for example with a short message to privacy@metrunio.com.

Articles connexes

  • What do the milestones under “Data status” show?

How can I tell the measurement is really working?

The “Milestones” section under “Data status” in the portal lists what has already happened in your data (such as the first signal from your website, the first conversion, the first journey across several touchpoints, the first week without gaps) and what is still outstanding. There are no points, no rank and no comparison with other customers; every line is a state of your own data.

  • How do I reach support?

Who do I turn to with a question, and how fast will I get an answer?

Through the chat on the website, by email to support@metrunio.com or in the portal under “Help”; anything our help centre covers, the chat answers immediately and names the articles. On plans from Pro, we get back to you by the next working day if your measurement fails, and answer all other questions in the order they arrive. On the free Start plan, the help centre and chat answer your questions, and a person answers security, data protection and legal questions.

  • Which roles exist and what may they do?

Who is allowed to do what in the portal?

There are three roles inside a tenant (Admin, Analysis and Read only) plus two platform-side roles. Every API route checks the permission server-side; hiding things in the interface is only the display of that.

  • What does Metrunio cost?

Which plans are there, and what happens if I go over?

Five plans, tiered by events per month: Start (free), Pro (€79), Growth (€249), Scale (€599) and Agency (€299 with two client accounts, €49 per further one, 250,000 events per client account); every four delivered impressions count as one event. Above the allowance, every started 10,000 events cost €3, and a plan never costs more than the next plan up would cost at the same volume.

  • How do I see all clients at a glance?

Is there an overview of all of my agency’s client accounts?

Under “Client overview” every client account of your agency sits in one row, those needing action first: whether measurement and ad accounts are running, how much of the quota the client has used this month, plus events, conversions, revenue and attribution rate for the last 7, 30 or 90 days. Measurement, ad accounts and figures appear only for clients in which you are a member yourself. On Mondays, an email to the agency’s admins sums up which clients have something open.

  • How do I give my client a monthly report as a PDF?

Is there a monthly report as a PDF that I can pass on to my client?

Under “Clients”, every client account has a monthly report as a PDF: key figures, channels and campaigns for one calendar month, with your agency’s name and logo in the header and “Measured with Metrunio” in the footer. On the 2nd of each month it is also sent as an attachment to your agency’s admins who are members of the client account themselves.
