What do the milestones under “Data status” show?
The “Milestones” section under “Data status” in the portal lists what has already happened in your data (such as the first signal from your website, the first conversion, the first journey across several touchpoints, the first week without gaps) and what is still outstanding. There are no points, no rank and no comparison with other customers; every line is a state of your own data.
How can I tell the measurement is really working?
The milestones are in the portal under “Data status”, in the “Milestones” section. Until 5 October 2026 they were a page of their own called “Progress”; the old address still leads there. The section answers a question the reports themselves do not: is what I am seeing already the right picture, or is something still missing?
What it lists
- Reached: what has happened, with the time it happened.
- Open: what happens by itself as soon as the matching signals arrive.
None of it needs to be triggered by hand. A milestone such as “journey across several touchpoints” appears when a conversion first has more than one preceding touchpoint. Until then every attribution model shows the same thing, and that is exactly what the open entry explains.
The check runs every quarter of an hour. A milestone therefore does not appear in the same second but at most fifteen minutes after the event. Measurement takes precedence: your events should not wait because progress is being calculated in the background.
Why it is not a game
Points, ranks and streaks would reward a behaviour we do not recommend: looking in every day. Measurement does not improve by being watched more often. What the section is meant to give you is orientation, not attachment.
Note
For some milestones we send a short email to the account’s admins. It can be switched off under “Settings → Notifications” without the milestones themselves disappearing.

- Setup: six phases, eleven steps
What do I have to do before the first data arrives?
The setup assistant takes you through six phases, from “Company & DPA” to “Check the first journey”; behind them are eleven steps, the same for every integration route. The second step is concluding the data processing agreement, without which nothing is measured. The assistant saves progress automatically and can be interrupted at any time; going live also needs access to the ad accounts, the connection to your consent tool and, depending on your company, internal approvals.
- How long until data appears?
When do I see the first numbers after installing?
Individual events appear in the live test within seconds. Journeys and conversions are created during processing and usually appear within minutes; attribution shares are calculated afterwards.
- What is “What these figures mean”?
I do not understand the key figures on the overview. Where are they in plain words?
Below the tiles on the overview there is a section called “What these figures mean”. It describes the same values in sentences: what occurred in the period, how much of it could be attributed, what the money says and what is missing. If a value is absent, the sentence is left out; nothing is guessed.
