Reports, cost and export
How do I get alerts and reports in Slack or Teams?
Through a webhook address, on every plan: under “Settings → Notifications” you enter the webhook address of a Slack or Teams channel and choose alerts, reports or both. The message is a short summary with a link to the portal, in German or English.
Can Metrunio send alerts to a Slack or Teams channel?
Slack
- 01Create an app for your workspace at api.slack.com/apps, or open an existing one.
- 02Switch on “Incoming Webhooks” and add a webhook with “Add New Webhook to Workspace”.
- 03Pick the channel and copy the address that starts with https://hooks.slack.com/services/.
- 04Enter it in the portal under “Settings → Notifications → Slack and Teams”. Metrunio sends a test message right away.
Microsoft Teams
- 01In the channel, open the menu with the three dots and choose “Workflows”.
- 02Choose the template for webhook requests: “Post to a channel when a webhook request is received”.
- 03Follow the steps and copy the address of the workflow at the end.
- 04Enter it in the portal, as for Slack.
Note
For new channels, Microsoft recommends Workflows instead of the former Office 365 connectors. Metrunio sends the format Workflows expect: an Adaptive Card.
What the message contains
- Alerts: what happened, with the figures and a link to data status or the portal.
- Reports: per company, measured and attributed conversions, revenue and ROAS where it is calculated. If you manage client accounts, up to six appear in the message, the rest in the portal and the email.
- Not in the chat: the CSV, the breakdown by channel, order numbers and visitor identifiers. The CSV and the breakdown are in the email and the portal.
- Even a total can reveal something about individual people: with small numbers, such as a single order in a day, it may be possible to tell which transaction it is. So choose a channel that only people who may see these figures can read.
- At most five channels per company, on every plan.
- Language per channel: German or English, like the emails.
- The report arrives at the interval set under “Report delivery”. If delivery is off, none arrives in the channel either.
- If a message does not arrive, Metrunio retries for up to 24 hours. If it keeps failing, the channel shows red in the portal with the reason.
Caution
Anyone who knows the address can post to the channel. Metrunio stores it encrypted and afterwards shows only its end. Do not share it; if you need a new one, delete the channel and add it again with the new address.

How do I get new orders, refunds and alerts into my CRM by webhook?
By webhook, from Growth: under “Data connections → Webhooks” you enter an https address and choose the events. Metrunio calls it for every new order or lead, refund, alert and completed cost sync, signed. It carries no browser or customer identifier, but it does carry the order or lead identifier, value and time, and these can be personal data.
- Why is there no comparison with the previous period?
Why does my overview show no percentage change compared with the previous period?
The comparison is only made with a previous period that is fully measured. If it starts before your measurement start, you see “Previous period incomplete” instead of a comparison. The measurement start is the first contact Metrunio measured live (in the browser, on an ad or through the server API); imported orders and ad spend do not count towards it.
- Which emails does Metrunio send, and how do I stop them?
I would like fewer emails. Which ones are there, and what can I unsubscribe from?
There are five kinds: operational messages (invitation, password, invoice, event allowance notices and the end of the trial), the weekly or monthly report, getting-started notes during the first few weeks, for agencies two emails about their clients (the weekly email about clients with open items and the monthly report as a PDF), and the newsletter. The first kind cannot be unsubscribed from, because without it access or billing does not work. You unsubscribe yourself from the report, the getting-started notes and the two client emails under “Settings → Notifications → Your emails”; with the Admin role you can also switch the report and the notes off for everyone there. You unsubscribe from the newsletter through the link in every issue.
