INTEGRATION / SHOPWARE
Measure Shopware 6, with orders straight from the shop server.
The Metrunio plugin adds the code to every sales channel, takes the decision from your cookie banner and reports orders, cancellations and refunds from your shop’s server. You see which ad contacts came before your orders.
01 / WHAT IT DOES
One plugin for visit, consent and order.
The plugin writes the code and the script that reads the decision from your banner into the head of every page of the sales channel. The purchase is not reported by the browser but by the shop server as soon as the order is created: through the Shopware message queue, retried for up to 24 hours if Metrunio cannot be reached. With consent, the plugin attaches an identifier from the session to the order; that is how Metrunio links the purchase to the visits before it.
Connecting takes one click in the plugin: the portal opens, you choose the website, and Shopware then shows what it is connected to. You set up the account and the data processing agreement in the portal beforehand.
Where you get it
The plugin is not listed in the Shopware Store at the moment. You download it free of charge in the portal under “Setup assistant” and upload the file in the administration.
02 / SETUP
How to set it up.
- 01
Download the plugin in the portal under “Setup assistant”, upload it under “Extensions → My extensions → Upload extension”, then install and activate it.
- 02
Open the plugin settings, choose the sales channel at the top and click “Connect to Metrunio”. Sign in to the portal, choose the website and confirm.
- 03
Under “Consent source”, choose your tool or leave “Automatic”. Save and clear the cache.
- 04
Click “Check consent”: your shop shows at the top right which tool is recognised and which decision is present.
- 05
Open the shop in a private window, accept in the banner and visit two pages. They appear in the live test in the portal.
What you need
Shopware 6.6 or 6.7, self-hosted or with a hosting provider, a running message worker and a Metrunio account with a concluded data processing agreement.
03 / WHAT ARRIVES
What is measured and what is attributed.
Measured means Metrunio recorded it itself. Attributed means an attribution model has split the measured revenue across the contacts before it.
| What | From where | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Page views and the decision in the banner | Code on every page of the sales channel, only after the decision | measured |
| Purchase with revenue and cart | Shop server, as soon as the order is created | measured |
| Cancellation and full refund | Shop server on the status change | measured |
| Revenue per channel and campaign | Your account’s attribution model, only for purchases with consent for analytics | attributed |
04 / CONSENT
Your consent tool stays. The plugin reads the decision.
The plugin reads the decision from the Shopware cookie manager or from Usercentrics, consentmanager, Cookiebot, CCM19, OneTrust, Google Consent Mode or IAB TCF. Before your visitors decide, the code stores and sends nothing. Tools that hold back scripts before consent recognise from the script tags that they may load Metrunio; “Check consent” shows you whether your tool needs an entry of its own.
Orders without a decision in the banner are reported by the server with the order number and without browser, customer or advertising identifiers. They count in measured revenue and are not attributed to any channel. After a refusal this only applies with an activated additional instruction for revenue reconciliation. Whether this assessment holds for your shop is something to clarify with your data protection adviser.
05 / LIMITS
What the extension does not do.
- Shopware Cloud does not run plugins. There you measure with the code snippet and the Server Events API.
- The plugin does not report partial refunds, because Shopware only knows a status for them, not an amount. Report them through the Server Events API.
- Orders you create in the administration have no session and therefore no consent. They count in revenue but are not attributed to any channel.
- Without a running message worker, order reports stay in the shop. The portal flags this after an hour, and you can resend unreported orders from the plugin settings.
06 / LOAD TIME
What your shop loads on top.
The plugin loads the same measurement script as every other way to connect: about 12 KB compressed, loaded asynchronously, so it does not hold up your page. On top comes a second script that reads the decision from your banner. The shop server reports the purchase through the queue; that does not hold up the checkout.
07 / PRICE
What it costs.
The plugin is free. What you pay for Metrunio depends on the plan; there is a free plan, and what the others cost and include is on the pricing page.
